Attorney
A native of Lima, Peru, Ruth emigrated to the U.S. with her family when she was 11 years old. Ruth’s passion for immigration law was instilled from a young age, as she witnessed the difficulties immigrants face in this country firsthand. These experiences led her to pursue a career as an immigration attorney so that she could advocate for and give a voice to immigrants seeking a better future.
Ruth began working in the immigration field in 2016, interning and working with immigration attorneys and non-profit organizations like Catholic Charities. Ruth attended the Lincoln Memorial Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she completed over 400 hours of pro-bono work with the immigrant community. Ruth also led the Women of the Law Society and founded an Immigration Law Society at LMU Law.
The first attorney in her family, Ruth was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2019, and practiced as an immigration attorney in that state before relocating to the DMV.
Ruth has represented clients in various immigration processes, including family and marriage-based petitions, fiancé petitions, consular processing, VAWA self-petitions, U-visas, waivers of inadmissibility, naturalization, removal of conditions, and asylum.
Ruth prides herself in her ability to connect with her clients and strives to share their story while presenting the best case possible to achieve a positive outcome. Her determination and passion for helping others has led to a high success rate for those she has represented.
Ruth is fluent in Spanish and English.
