Guillermo Cotto

I am an Associate Attorney at Sanabria & Associates, physically present in Langley Park, Maryland.

I am a Attorney out of the Island of Puerto Rico, where I lived most of my life. With a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor degree in Criminal Investigation from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. During my bachelor's degree I obtained certifications as a Criminal Investigator and I was in charge of putting together the first ever Criminal Fraud Symposium of the Caribbean held at San Juan Puerto Rico. I also graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors in my Bachelor's degree.

Attended Law School at The Law Faculty of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in which I was a part of the Puerto Rico Innocence Project where we represented clients in criminal cases in a pro-bono nature. I also was part of the advanced trial advocacy class. Graduated from Law School with Cum Laude Honors and with a Minor concentration in criminal law/ criminal procedure and evidence.

My passion is Immigration and Criminal law, I strive to fight for my clients rights as they were mine
that were on the line. My interest for Immigration law started when I saw how my best friend had to fight for his status in Puerto Rico, being Dominican, that made we want to make a change in immigration law with my work.
