Vanessa Baez

Vanessa Baez is an Associate Attorney at Sanabria & Associates, PLLC, and she manages the Homestead office of the Firm. Vanessa works with Florida and out-of-state cases and has represented many clients throughout the United States. 
Vanessa Baez has strong ties to her Dominican heritage and deep compassion for immigration issues. For almost 5 years, Vanessa has advocated for immigrants’ rights and worked in Immigration Law. As a daughter of immigrants, Vanessa understands the depths of his client’s needs and easily relates to their stories.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in 2015. Upon completion, she attended St. Thomas University School of Law. While in law school, Vanessa worked as a student representative for the St. Thomas Immigration Clinic where she helped represent low-income clients in Asylum and Cancellation of Removal cases. In 2018, she obtained her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law graduating Magna Cum Laude. 
As an immigration attorney, has represented clients in removal defense in courts across the country. She has worked on hundreds of cases relating to Bonds, CFI/RFI Defense, Asylum Matters, Withholding of Removal, Adjustment of Status, Family Petitions, K1 Visa’s, U-Visa’s, VAWA, Removal of Conditions of Residency, Consular Processing, Waivers, and Naturalization, and Asylum Appeals. 
Vanessa also provides removal defense before the Executive Office of Immigration Review in complex legal matters, such as, but not limited to, reinstatement of removal, firm resettlement, dual nationality cases, and cases where an exception to the one-year deadline is being sought. 
Vanessa has participated in various immigration pro bono projects including, but not limited to, Karnes Pro Bono Project, Somali Litigation, Broward Transitional Center Court Watching Project, and as a Florida New American Pro Bono volunteer. Her achievements led her to be awarded the Merit Scholar and the Pro Bono Service Award in law school. She continues to serve her community by working with high school students to help them obtain internships with Sanabria &Associates and craft their path to college. 
Vanessa is licensed to practice by the Florida Bar Association. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
