Marlena Konopka

Marlena Konopka is an Immigration Attorney at Sanabria & Associates, PLLC where she leads the firm’s team of immigration professionals in the Langley Park office. In her duties, Marlena manages the team’s performance and zealously advocates for clients, representing them before the immigration courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Marlena Konopka is a first-generation Polish American. She earned her B.S. degree in International Politics from Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service. Marlena then spent a year working as a paralegal for the Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice before enrolling in law school.

Marlena earned her Juris Doctor degree at American University Washington College of Law. While studying at WCL, Marlena fortified her passion for immigration law as a student attorney with the Immigrant Justice Clinic. Destined to continue in this field, Marlena joined Sanabria & Associates, PLLC in August of 2021, where she has worked on cases relating to removal defense, such as asylum and cancellation of removal, and cases before USCIS, such as family petitions, residency, citizenship, U Visas, and more.

Marlena is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
