Jose Zelada

Jose Zelada is a Partner at Sanabria & Associates, primarily based in the Silver Spring, Maryland, office. As a General Practice Partner, Jose provides strategic oversight for the firm’s Litigation and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) departments. Having transitioned from day-to-day case handling, he now focuses on departmental management and the mentorship of the firm’s legal teams to ensure continued excellence in client advocacy. Jose has been in the legal field since 2012 and has been practicing as an attorney since 2022.

His extensive litigation background includes representing clients before immigration courts in various states, as well as USCIS and asylum offices. Jose has practiced in various states across the country including Maryland, Virginia, Texas, and Florida. Furthermore, he has a distinguished record of representing SIJS clients in circuit courts throughout the State of Maryland. Before joining Sanabria & Associates in 2024, Jose spent 12 years honing his legal expertise at a prior firm.

Jose earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. During his legal education, he was a founding member of the Legal Data and Design clinic and participated in competitive mock trials, negotiation, and mediation clinics. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar and is fully fluent in both English and Spanish
