Emily Swartz

Emily K. Swartz is a Supervising Immigration Attorney at Sanabria & Associates, PLLC, in Silver Spring, Maryland. She leads the management, performance, and training for the attorneys of the firm across all the immigration departments. Emily also oversees the operations of the firm’s immigration department, which spans over 70 team members across 8 offices.  
Emily holds a B.S. in Commerce & Business Administration from the University of Alabama. During college, she studied abroad in Havana, Cuba, and minored in the Spanish language. She graduated from law school at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. During her time at Indiana University, she was awarded the Stewart Fellowship and spent a summer abroad in New Delhi, India. She also served as a fellow for the Office of Student Affairs. Her career in immigration law began while interning for Indiana Legal Services in their Migrant Farmworker Protection Program.
Emily’s career has focused on a broad range of immigration cases while focusing on keeping families together. She has represented clients in removal defense in courts across the country. She has worked on thousands of cases relating to bonds, asylum, withholding of removal, family petitions, U Visas, and national interest waivers.  
Emily is a member of the Washington, D.C. bar.
